By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms.
1) Service description
Architect Brief Generator provides an online questionnaire that helps users create a structured design brief and generate a PDF document (the “Brief”). The Brief is intended to help you communicate with architects and other professionals.
2) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this service and purchase a Brief.
3) Guidance only (no professional advice)
The content generated by the service is provided for general information and guidance only. It is not a substitute for professional architectural, planning, legal, surveying, structural engineering, or building control advice.
Planning and permitted development rules are complex and can depend on property history, location-specific restrictions (including Article 4 Directions), and detailed measurements. You are responsible for verifying your circumstances with your local planning authority and/or qualified professionals before starting work.
4) User responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Use the service lawfully.
- Not misuse the service (e.g., attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent payment restrictions).
- Keep any links or files you receive secure and not share them in a way that enables unauthorised access.
5) Purchase, pricing and payment
The price for a Brief is shown at checkout and is payable as a one-time purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
Your purchase is complete once payment is confirmed and the Brief is made available to download and/or emailed to you.
6) Delivery
After successful payment, we will provide access to your Brief (for example via download) and/or send it to the email address you provide. Delivery may be affected by factors outside our control (e.g., email filtering, network issues).
7) Refunds and cancellations (digital content)
Because the Brief is digital content supplied immediately, refunds are limited.
If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from receiving or downloading your Brief, contact us and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it (for example, re-sending the email or providing a new download link). If we cannot provide the service after taking reasonable steps, we may issue a refund at our discretion.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
8) Intellectual property
The website, branding, templates, and underlying structure of the generated Brief are owned by us or licensed to us.
You may use the Brief for your personal use and for sharing with professionals involved in your project (e.g., architects, surveyors, builders) for the purpose of obtaining quotes and progressing your project.
You must not:
- Resell, distribute, or publish the Brief template/system as a competing product.
- Remove copyright notices or branding where present.
9) Disclaimers
We do not guarantee that:
- The Brief will be accepted by any architect, council, lender, or third party.
- The Brief will ensure planning approval, permitted development compliance, or building regulations compliance.
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times.
10) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Any loss arising from reliance on the Brief as professional advice.
- Indirect or consequential losses (including loss of profit, revenue, business, or opportunity).
- Decisions made by third parties (architects, councils, contractors, etc.).
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Brief.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under law.
11) Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
12) Privacy
Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
13) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you rights to bring claims in your local courts.
